My share card won't load or download
The share card is a square (1080×1080) image we generate the moment you buy the Pack. It should appear within 15–30 seconds of purchase. If you see a "Designing your share card…" placeholder for more than a couple minutes, refresh once or use the Try again button on the card.
What the share card is
It's a single image designed for Instagram, WhatsApp, X, Facebook, Strava, and SMS previews — square so it renders consistently across all of them. Your name, finish time, and event are baked into the image, along with your timer's logo if they've white-labeled the event.
On the results page, the preview is a styled version of the image rendered with HTML and CSS — that's so the page loads fast without downloading a massive PNG. The Post button downloads the real 1080×1080 PNG for sharing.
Why it might not be loading
The card still says "Designing your share card…"
Generation is still in progress. The share card is fast (usually under 15 seconds), but slow networks or rare server hiccups can delay it. Give it up to two minutes. After that, click Try again — that re-renders the card from scratch.
The download button isn't doing anything
On most browsers, clicking Post (the canonical download button) saves the file to your Downloads folder. On iOS Safari and most mobile browsers, it offers to save to Photos. If nothing happens at all:
- Check your browser's download permissions — some content blockers stop image downloads from sites you haven't visited before.
- Long-press the share card image preview and choose Save Image (iOS) or Download Image (Android Chrome) as a fallback.
The Instagram Story button opens the wrong app
The Story button uses Instagram's deep-link scheme, which only works when Instagram is installed and signed in. If you're on desktop or you've deleted Instagram, the button falls back to a regular image download — same file, just upload it manually.
The image looks pixelated or blurry
On the results page preview, the share card is a CSS facsimile, not the actual PNG. Click Post and look at the downloaded file — the real PNG is full 1080×1080 print quality.
If the downloaded PNG itself looks pixelated, your race timer's logo source file might be low resolution. That's something only your timer can fix on their side; in the meantime your name, time, and event details are still crisp.
If "Try again" doesn't fix it
After two retries with no luck, email support@splitkit.freshdesk.com with the URL of your results page. We can re-trigger the generation manually and inspect the rendering log. If the share card still can't be generated, we refund the Pack — your certificate, race story, and performance PDF stay yours regardless. See How do I get a refund?.
