About your SplitKit charge
Your results page carries your race timer's own branding: their logo, their name, their look. But the Finisher's Pack purchase itself runs through SplitKit, the platform your timer uses to build it. That's why your card statement shows SPLITKIT, usually followed by your event's name, instead of the timer's name. It's expected, and your purchase is safe.
Why the names don't match
SplitKit is the technology behind your results page, your certificate, your race story, and your Finisher's Pack, built from the timing data your race timer records with RACE RESULT at the finish line. Your timer chose SplitKit to run their results page and Pack purchases; you never create a SplitKit account or interact with SplitKit directly.
Because SplitKit is the merchant of record for every Finisher's Pack purchase (across every event, for every timer that uses SplitKit), Stripe (our payment processor) puts SPLITKIT on the statement descriptor rather than the timer's name. We append the event name where space allows, so a purchase at the Flying Pig Marathon might read something like SPLITKIT* FLYING PIG on your statement.
SPLITKIT line on your statement is the normal, correct record of that purchase, not a sign of fraud or a mixed-up charge. What you paid for
The Finisher's Pack is built from your real race data and includes:
- Finisher's Certificate: a printable PDF with your name, time, and stats. On events where the finish video is on, this becomes your Finisher's Record: the certificate plus a real video built from your race, with its own ready-made caption. See How do I save or share my finish video?.
- Social Media Race Story: a personalized written recap of your race, ready to copy and paste.
- Detailed Race Performance: a multi-section analytical report covering pacing, splits, and takeaways (when your race timer recorded split-by-split data).
- Branded Share Card: a square image sized for Instagram, WhatsApp, and other socials.
Questions about the charge
If you don't recognize a SPLITKIT charge at all (you don't think you bought a Finisher's Pack), see I was charged but I don't see my Finisher's Pack to track it down. If you'd like your money back, see How do I get a refund?.
For anything else about the charge, email support@splitkit.run with the event name, your bib number, and, if you have it, the last four digits of the card. We reply within two business days.
